Sneak Peek

Many, many thanks to my friend Anders Scot Hudson of Midwick Armory, for getting on board with my crazy ideas. One day I thought out loud, 'what if we made a pair out of EVA foam?'.
He was within earshot, and was all, "Let's do it!". The rest as they say, is history :)
Behold, the Holtzmann proton pistols (or at least one of them, the other needs a bit more paint)...

Made completely from EVA foam and some well-placed LEDs.
This set is pretty darn amazing for a quickie round 1 version, and done in time for a fun, albeit silly, tribute cosplay I have in the works.

I'll post more on this project in the coming days, so stay tuned!
XOXO

  1. Is there a tutorial you could do on these guns? Or templates you use? It be greatly appreciated! Awesome job btw

    1. Hi there :)
These were literally scratch built using a few photos of the original guns (off Google search), math and using the Glock pistol sizing as a base.
When we made these the week before Dragon Con, there was little to no time to do a tutorial or a step by step. This is version 1.0 however, so if we do another pair, most likely we can show more of the process.
Also; there is a guy on Etsy in Australia, who is selling the 3D printed part kits to build these. Not cheap, but probably more accurate :)
